Logistica Award 2024

The Logistica Award is the prestigious recognition for the most innovative solution in logistics. The winner was announced on November 5th during Logistica Next at the Koninklijke Jaarbeurs. Essensium won the Logistica Award with its unique SafeTrack system, a brand-independent safety solution for warehouse trucks.

What is the Logistica Award?

The Logistica Award is the premier accolade for the most innovative solution in logistics, awarded every two years to companies excelling in innovation within the logistics sector. Finalists Logistica Award

Essensium – SafeTrack

Essensium has developed the unique SafeTrack system, an independent safety system for warehouse trucks. It uses a Real-Time Location System (RTLS), Vision, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to monitor the exact position of trucks, loads, and pedestrians. SafeTrack automatically intervenes by slowing down the truck when dangerous situations are imminent, without the need for infrastructure modifications or tags. This significantly improves safety and productivity in environments such as warehouses or production facilities.

Prime Vision – AMR Solution for ASRS

Prime Vision has developed an advanced solution where Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) are integrated with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS). These robots are flexible, can detect obstacles and people, and are capable of transporting, sequencing, and sorting packages to case erectors and sealers, pick stations, and sorting conveyors. Since the robot work area is not fenced off, it results in highly efficient and flexible goods handling, allowing warehouses to better adapt to fluctuations in demand and operational changes.

STILL Intern Transport Introduces the Self-Driving Vehicle (SDV)

STILL Intern Transport presents the Self-Driving Vehicle (SDV), an innovative autonomous solution for internal warehouse transports. The SDV uses advanced camera technology and machine learning to automate processes such as horizontal transport and cross-docking. It can detect other vehicles and dynamically adjust its speed for safe and efficient operation.

Equipped with LTO batteries that charge incredibly fast, the SDV offers maximum flexibility without requiring fixed infrastructure. The vehicle is being further developed for full end-to-end warehouse automation.

Winner of the Jury Prize + Public Prize 2019

In 2019, the Lowpad by Eurotec was named the best logistics innovation of 2019 by the expert jury of the Logistica Award 2019. The six-member jury referred to the Lowpad as a ‘new milestone’ in the rapid development of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). The vehicle, standing at just 12 centimeters tall, was capable of lifting and moving shelving units, roll cages, and Danish trolleys. Its distinctive feature was the powered steering wheels located at the four corners of the vehicle, allowing the Lowpad to move in any direction from a standstill, including diagonally or around corners.

The Logistica Award is a joint initiative of Stichting Logistica and Jaarbeurs. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to register for the Logistica Award.
