Utrecht, November 12, 2024 – Last week, ICT&Logistiek and Logistica Next, organized by Koninklijke Jaarbeurs, once again proved their worth as leading trade shows for the logistics sector. The events brought together the latest innovations and provided a platform for professionals to network and advance the industry. A highlight was the presentation of the prestigious Logistica Award to Essensium for the most groundbreaking innovation in the sector. Additionally, logistics chain stakeholders signed a declaration of intent for a standard core set of primary data. Together, the largest logistics trade shows in the Benelux attracted 10,500 visitors—10 percent more than the previous edition. In 2025, ICT&Logistiek and Logistica Next will be held from November 4 to 6.

Half of exhibitors already reserve for next edition
Corien den Ouden, exhibition manager: “Exhibitors went all out this year with products and innovations; the atmosphere was like old times, and the feedback from both exhibitors and visitors was extremely positive. Already, half of the exhibitors have secured a spot for next year.” Exhibitor Silvia Christensen-Vreuls, Business Development Manager at KNAPP Benelux, shared, “We enjoy connecting live with potential clients and meeting our existing contacts in person at Logistica Next. Personal interaction allows for relaxed conversations and an opportunity to showcase our products. After this successful edition, we’ve already reserved our place for next year.”

Logistics sector takes major step toward an efficient future during trade shows
The Logistica Award, presented this year on the exhibition floor, underscores the importance of the trade show as a showcase for technological progress and innovation. Essensium won the award with its unique SafeTrack system, a brand-independent safety system for warehouse trucks. Essensium offers a unique solution that enhances the safety of all warehouse trucks using artificial intelligence. Corien den Ouden added, “In addition to the award ceremony, we took an important step toward an efficient future for the logistics sector with the signing of the declaration of intent by logistics chain stakeholders. Defining a primary data set and establishing agreements on how to share this data offers many benefits for businesses, government, and other stakeholders in transport and logistics. This also demonstrates that the trade shows play a significant role in chain collaboration. The entire sector is represented at the shows.”

Logistics trade shows inextricably linked
Looking to the future, Jaarbeurs has decided to integrate ICT&Logistiek and Logistica Next. Corien den Ouden commented, “Today, ICT is inextricably linked to intralogistics processes within warehouses, which is why we’ve chosen to continue holding both trade shows together in the future.” Jaarbeurs aims to optimize knowledge sharing with exhibitors and provide a platform where professionals can meet, learn, and collaborate on the future of logistics. Den Ouden added, “We are aiming for a CO2-free society by 2050. The energy transition requires sweeping changes in transport and logistics, and entrepreneurs need to opt for and invest in sustainable energy. At ICT&Logistiek and Logistica Next, exhibitors present innovative solutions to accelerate the energy transition in the logistics sector. Visitors can find effective solutions for their sustainability challenges here.”

Some Logistica Next exhibitors already participate annually in ICT&Logistiek, highlighting the synergy between the two events. Previously, the target audience for ICT&Logistiek was different from that of Logistica Next, says Boltrics marketer Mike Oerlemans. “But in recent years, they have converged, especially with regard to robotics and AI trends. For this reason, we consider this combined edition of ICT&Logistiek and Logistica Next a success.” Exhibitor Meral Arslan, Sales Manager at FKK Wheels, is also positive about the merging of the two trade shows: “Connecting the future of logistics is what both trade shows have in common. We are excited about the developments around the trade shows and look forward to seeing you next year.”

The next edition of ICT&Logistiek and Logistica Next will take place from November 4 to 6, 2025, at Koninklijke Jaarbeurs.
