Utrecht, February 22, 2024 – Trade fair Logistica Next of Koninklijke Jaarbeurs partners with Dilas, the knowledge and network organization for the logistics and industrial real estate sector. The goal of this partnership is to share knowledge about complex issues within the logistics real estate sector. Logistica Next will take place from November 5 to 7, 2024, at Koninklijke Jaarbeurs.

Corien den Ouden, Logistica Next exhibition manager: “Through the collaboration with Dilas, we can now inform our visitors about the valuable role that real estate can play in terms of sustainability, the energy transition, and enhancing the beauty of our country. This is a very important important item on our agenda.”

Collaboration between the government and the logistics real estate sector is urgently needed

The logistics real estate sector faces a significant challenge. On the one hand, space must be made for sustainable economic growth; on the other hand, there is a shortage of locations. The uptake of the logistics real estate market will fall to 1.7 million m² this year, a halving compared to 2022. This is according to recent research by logistics and real estate consultancy Buck Consultants International (BCI). Corien den Ouden, Logistica Next exhibition manager: “To solve complex issues, collaboration between the government and the logistics real estate sector is needed. From this perspective, we are proud of the new partnership with Dilas. Together, we are developing a content program with which we aim to make a valuable contribution to the social issues surrounding logistics.”

The power of sharing knowledge and connection at Logistica Next

At Logistica Next, exhibitors showcase innovative solutions necessary for making logistics processes increasingly efficient and effective. The trade fair also focuses, among other things, on the future of logistics real estate in the Netherlands. Edgar van Eekelen, director of ELBA\REC, the program office of Dilas, states, “Logistica Next is the platform for Dilas (Dutch Industrial Logistics Association) to share knowledge and engage in discussions with logistics professionals. We are very pleased with this new partnership.” Dilas serves as the connector between all stakeholders in the logistics and industrial real estate chain and strives to develop this sector sustainably and socially responsibly. The knowledge partner aims to work with its participants on solutions for societal challenges that limit the logistics and industrial real estate sector.

From November 5 to 7, 2024, Koninklijke Jaarbeurs will once again transform into the logistics hotspot of the Netherlands. Logistica Next and ICT&Logistiek will take place simultaneously. More information can be found at logistica-next.nl/en.
