Logistica Next 2024 had an extensive content program and a wide range of smart and practical solutions for the challenges of yesterday and tomorrow. Here is an overview of the activities during Logistica Next 2024.
The keynote program on the mainstage was the flagship of Logistica Next. Inspiring keynote speakers delivered sessions on crucial topics shaping the future of logistics. Here, you were inspired by valuable insights and innovative strategies.
At Logistica Next, you could find two theme theaters that were part of the extensive knowledge program: Next Gen Logistics and Sustainable & Safe Logistics. Here, you could choose from dozens of presentations that enriched your knowledge on specific topics, with information provided by exhibitors and experts.
At the Demo Areas, you could experience exciting live demonstrations by various exhibitors. You immersed yourself in the innovations, asked questions, and expanded your knowledge while discovering the latest developments.
This year, we also organized Hét Logistiek Debat together with VLM – the Association for Logistics Management – with the debate on Wednesday co-organized by DILAS. Every day, four debaters engaged in discussions on various topics with their thought-provoking perspectives. The debates were moderated by Marijke Roskam and took place daily from 14:30 to 15:00 on the Mainstage.

Essensium Wins the Logistica Award 2024!
This was announced on November 5 at 10:00 AM during the Award Show on the Mainstage, presented by the Logistica Foundation. It was an inspiring event, where Essensium presented the most innovative solution in logistics with their groundbreaking SafeTrack system.
With the ‘Logistics Speeddate,’ Jong Logistiek Nederland (JLN) brought together companies, students, and young professionals in a smart, fun, and informal way. It was the perfect opportunity to have 1-on-1, 10-minute conversations with various logistics companies in a low-threshold and efficient manner.

For the second time, the NVC Netherlands Packaging Centre, in collaboration with Logistica Next, organized an Innovation Pavilion. This pavilion focused on the latest developments in the field of transport packaging.
Last year, there was also extra focus on the theme of cybersecurity with a Cyber Security Pavilion. Here, you learned how to enhance cybersecurity within your transport or logistics organization.
Logistics service provider, IT professional, buyer, policymaker, or educator? In this game, you simulated the supply chain of a complete logistics network and scored based on costs, performance, and disruption. You took on your role and, together with your team, developed a winning strategy. You considered aspects such as supply chain management, bundling deliveries, using a hub, and sustainable procurement.
The driver shortage is expected to continue growing in the coming years. The International Road Transport Union (IRU) reports that there are already more than 233,000 unfilled vacancies for truck drivers in Europe, and this number is expected to rise to 745,000 by 2028.
CEYAS offers a cost-effective solution for yard automation and takes over repetitive tasks from yard operators, such as maneuvering trailers in restricted port, distribution, and industrial areas. CEYAS was developed in collaboration with Verhagen Leiden, V-tron, and TNO.
